The Irish Guitar is a product from Irish-Australian guitar designer and maker Liam McMahon of McMayhem Guitars.

Manufactured from Liam and a team of guitar luthiers The Irish Guitar is a full scale electric guitar in the shape of a Hurling stick. Growing up in an Irish household and being big sports fans there was always a Hurley around the house, despite the distance from Ireland! It was this inspiration and a keen interest in design and a love for guitars I developed the Irish guitar. As mentioned these are full scale electric guitars in the shape of a Hurling stick! They have a trust rod, 25.5 scale, single coil pickup etr. Through developing skills in carpentry/joinery and design I started designing and making my own electric guitars whilst in high school. With experience over the years and working as a carpenter full time I have been designing and making guitars since 2010. Starting with electric guitars and my first product, The Irish Guitar there is also now a Bass and Ukulele design in the shape of a Hurling stick. There is also a custom build option available.
